How do I get around after my flight Vienna-Kos?
Kos has a very well-developed infrastructure and is also small enough for visitors to reach all destinations within a short time. The airport is centrally located in the island's interior and named after the ancient physician Hippocrates, the most famous son of the island. Once you have landed there after your flight from Vienna (VIE) to Kos (KGS), you will arrive at your holiday destination in no more than 45 minutes. To Kos Town in the northeast it is about 25 kilometres, and about 18 kilometres to Kefalos in the southwest. To get around, you can take buses, taxis or rental cars.

- Beach: Kos is the perfect bathing island. The sandy beaches near Kefalos at the western end are particularly beautiful. There you can also find hidden bays where it is quieter. - Other excursion destinations: The Dikeos Mountains in the centre of the island are ideal for hiking and mountain biking. You can visit the romantic mountain village of Zia, the ruins of the old Palio Pyli with its magnificent panoramic view or the small chapel on the 846-metre-high Dikeos peak.
