Boarding

We call our guests in groups during the boarding process, i.e. when they enter the aircraft. This procedure allows all passengers to board quickly and conveniently.

Quick boarding

You can scan your boarding pass yourself as you board at many airports, including Vienna Airport. Place your boarding pass on the scanner with the barcode facing down. After a quick check, the barrier is released and you can move on to the aircraft. If your seat has changed at the last minute, you will receive a new paper section from the quick boarding device showing the new seat information.

Bus Boarding

For some flights, we transport passengers directly to the aircraft by bus. This is a common practice at many international airports and is used when an aircraft is parked at a remote stand on the apron.

Bus boarding offers several advantages for travelers: it provides direct access to the aircraft and gives passengers a unique behind-the-scenes view of airport operations. Many guests appreciate the opportunity to see the aircraft up close and experience the dynamic activity on the apron.

Bus boarding also helps airports use aircraft stands flexibly and supports efficient ground operations. This contributes to a stable flight schedule and enables aircraft to be prepared for their next departure as quickly as possible.
