Getting to Vienna Airport

General directions

Vienna Airport is easily accessible by car via the A4 motorway and the S1 highway. The Vienna Airport Lines buses also connect it with the most important transport hubs.

Getting there by train and bus

At Vienna Airport there is a railway station with S-Bahn, regional train, CAT and long-distance transport connections. It is just a short walk from the Arrivals terminal, as the railway station is located directly below the airport.

Vienna Airport Lines

The fully accessible buses of Vienna Airport Lines offer WiFi and USB sockets. They depart every half-hour or hour from Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz (U1, U4), Wien Westbahnhof (U3, U6) and the Donauzentrum (U1). With an Austrian Airlines boarding pass, you will receive a discount on the fare.

Railway and S-Bahn

Cost-effective alternatives are the ÖBB Railjets and the S7 S-Bahn, which go to Vienna Airport from all major Vienna railway stations. At around 25 minutes, the trip takes a little longer than with the City Airport Train.

City Airport Train by bus

The City Airport Train temporarily operates with comfortable premium buses during the railway maintenance works, offering reliable non-stop connections up to 5 times per hour between Vienna Airport and Vienna city center (transport hub Wien Mitte). Children under 15 travel for free.

AIRail Rail & Fly

If you are travelling to or from Linz or Salzburg, you can use the AIRail Rail & Fly combi-ticket. This ticket allows you to check in at the Linz and Salzburg railway stations.

Getting there by car

Leave the A4 motorway at exit 13, which takes you directly to the terminal buildings.

Cheaper parking

The various car parks at Vienna Airport are all connected to the terminal buildings via pedestrian walkways that are weather-protected as far as possible. As a passenger of Austrian Airlines, you can benefit from special parking offers.

Follow the signs to Departures and Car Park 3 and park the vehicle at the SHARE NOW signs on the ground floor or on Deck 0. You can start and end the rental in this zone. By the way: Austrian Airlines passengers do not only save the one-time registration fee, but also receive a credit note.
