How to book your AIRail-Intermodal-Ticket
Booking an AIRail-Intermodal-ticket is child’s play, whether you book via a travel agent or online on our website.
If you book online, enter your preferred connection from Linz, Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt or Innsbruck in your flight search. You will recognise the AIRail connections in your search results by the phrase “operated by ÖBB”.
The check-in works as usual either online or in person at the ÖBB Travel Centre at the Linz, Salzburg, Graz or Innsbruck Central Station.
Additional amenities on your AIRail trip
- You’ll receive a snack voucher that you can easily redeem in the restaurant car or with the trolley service.
- You can use wi-fi free of charge on board all ÖBB Railjet trains, as well as at the stations in Linz, Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt or Innsbruck, and at Vienna Airport.

Good to know
- Please note that departure and arrival times may change slightly. Your Austrian Airlines ticket always shows the current scheduled departure time.
- The railway connection has an Austrian Airlines flight number, which is displayed on the information screens at the station.
- When you check in for your trip as usual, you will receive boarding passes for all legs of your journey, including both the train and flight segments.
- The same terms and conditions apply to rebookings and cancellations as to flight bookings.
- A train connection booked at a later date cannot be added to an existing flight booking.
- After arriving at Vienna International Airport and checking your luggage at our baggage counter, you can proceed directly through security to your gate. For information on bringing luggage and bicycles on trains, please refer to ÖBB’s baggage regulations.
