Do you like to travel in comfort and have everything you need with you? At Austrian Airlines you do not have to worry about how much you can take with you on your trip. We have the right solution for you even with larger baggage.
Things worth knowing about excess baggage
Your baggage counts as excess baggage if it exceeds
- the dimensions of158 to 292 cm (height + width + length) and
- a weight of 24 to 32 kg.
In Business Class bags up to 32 kg are included – if they exceed 158 cm, they also count as excess baggage.
Excess baggage charges depend on the flight route and your free baggage allowance. In addition, a ticket service fee may be charged.
Bags over 32 kg and a maximum size of 292 cm (length + width + height) are not accepted at check-in. Special carriage conditions apply to bags that exceed a maximum size of 158 cm (length + width + height).
Please register any such bags by telephone on +43 5 1766 1000or in writing via our Contact form.
