We offer you FlyNet internet access in cooperation with Deutsche Telekom on selected short and medium-haul and on Dreamliner-flights. Either book in advance* via the link provided, or buy one of the packages in the FlyNet portal once you are on board and get connected. The FlyNet app also allows you to save your details so you can go online even faster and more conveniently on your next flight.

Free messaging above the clouds

Travel ID and Miles & More customers can benefit from free, unlimited messaging in the FlyNet portal on selected short and medium-haul flights of the Austrian A320 family with connectivity (Internet on board) and on flights operated with the Dreamliner (Boeing 787). Stay in touch with your loved ones above the clouds and relax during the flight.

Simply visit our FlyNet portal with your mobile device on your next flight, log in with your personal Travel ID and select "Free Messaging" - that's it. Have fun chatting above the clouds!

Download the FlyNet app

Download our new FlyNet app from Google Play or the App Store and go online even faster and more conveniently when you are on board. With the app you have the option of saving your login and payment details, and you can choose the wi-fi package that’s right for you with just a few clicks before and during your flight.

You can also save and redeem vouchers in the app. To register quickly and easily, choose a commonly used login such as your Google or Apple login, or your Miles & More profile.

  • You can easily recognise the aircraft that have been equipped with onboard internet by the wi-fi sign.
  • The service is only available on selected short and medium-haul flights with the Airbus A320 family in the Austrian Airlines fleet.

FlyNet on Dreamliner - Free messaging for all passengers

On board the Dreamliner, you can benefit from free, unlimited messaging during your entire flight via the FlyNet portal. Stay in touch with your loved ones above the clouds and relax during the flight.

Visit our FlyNet portal with your mobile device on your next flight and select "Free Messaging" - that's it. Have fun chatting above the clouds!

The new service is available in all travel classes throughout the flight and without data limits. If you want to use additional functions and share pictures on social media, send e-mails or surf the internet, you can choose from two additional chargeable packages.

On board the Dreamliner, we offer 3 service packages. Currently, it is only possible to buy your package when you are already on board of your flight.

Good to know

  • The service is only available on long-haul flights operated with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
  • Access can only be bought on board, there is no pre-flight voucher sales.

How to use FlyNet internet access on board

Select wi-fi

Set your device to flight mode before take-off. As soon as cruising altitude is reached, you can activate wi-fi in your settings and select Austrian FlyNet.

Open the FlyNet portal

If you now activate your internet browser, the FlyNet portal will open automatically. Click on “Internet access” in the top right.

Buy a service package

Select the desired service package if you have not purchased your access in advance. Once payment is confirmed you are immediately online.

Select wi-fi
