PreSelect for long-haul flights: main courses in Business Class

Our PreSelect service now lets you select your meal on long-haul flights in advance.

You can view the three different main courses in Business Class online, from 6 weeks right up to 24 hours before departure.

If you select your meal in advance, the main course of your choice will be served to you on board your flight.

We also offer suitable meals for travellers who follow a certain diet for health or religious reasons.
You can order your chosen meal with the respective meal code directly when booking, online under My Bookings or through your travel agent.

This is how to order your special meal

You can order the meal of your choice as follows, quoting the corresponding meal code:

  • Directly when booking your flight
    When booking your flight, select the meal of your choice from the “Menüauswahl” (Meal selection) list.
  • After booking your flight
    Until 24 hours before departure, online under “My Bookings”*
Go to “My Bookings”
  • Through your travel agent
    On condition that you booked your flight there.

* As our special meals are freshly prepared, you cannot place an order any later than this.

Due to the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 December 2006 on nutrition and health claims made on foods, the Lufthansa Group has no longer offered special meals for diabetics or particularly low-calorie meals since 4 December 2019. This meal consists of a popular and balanced meal for children with a sweet surprise. 

The children’s meal must always be pre-ordered. This applies to European flights in Business Class and intercontinental flights in all classes.

 CHML Baby meal (up to two years) On most European flights, this is made from an organic fruit purée. Puréed vegetables are also available on our long-haul flights. BBML
