30. December 2010: flights between Vienna and Moscow are performed on time
Recently Moscow airport Domodedovo got back to normal functioning, which allows Austrian Airlines perform it's flights according to schedule.
28. December 2010: situation in Domodedovo airport
Recent updates regarding scheduled for 28-29. December flights between Vienna and Moscow will be placed on special page. First update concerning flight OS601 Vienna-Moscow expected ay 09:00 Vienna time (11:00 Moscow time).
27. December 2010: situation in Domodedovo airport
Austrian Airlines regrets to inform about further cancellations of it's flights between Vienna and Moscow airport Domodedovo. Currently flights:
- OS605 Vienna-Moscow scheduled for 27 December is cancelled,
- flight OS606 Moscow-Vienna scheduled for 28 December is cancelled.

27. December 2010: situation in Domodedovo airport
Austrian Airlines attempts to restore air connection between Vienna and Moscow airport Domodedovo, which suspended all flights on Sunday after the electricity went off in the whole complex due to the icing-up of power cables. Flights OS601 and OS604 from Vienna landed in Domodedovo on time, but due to heavy traffic in Domodedovo airport, experienced delays with service on ground. This caused consequent delays of flights OS602 and OS604 Moscow-Vienna.
We restored functioning of Austrian ticketing office in Domodedovo airport. In order to avoid long waiting in queues and better rebooking arrangements we encourage all passengers, affected by flight cancellations on 26-27 December rebook their flights via Austrian call-center (495) 995 0 995. We are glad to inform we were able to deploy larger aircrafts Airbus 321 on all flights on 27-28 December to be able transport all passengers affected by flight cancellations.
22. December 2010: New location and working hours of Austrian Airlines' ticketing counter in St. Petersburg
As of 01. January 2010 Austrian Airlines' ticketing counter in Pulkovo-2 terminal of St. Petersburg will change it's location from Ground floor to the 2nd floor of the terminal.
During period 22. January 2011 till 19. March 2011 on Saturdays ticketing counter will be opened 13.00 - 21.00. On other days of week opening hours remain the same: 11.00 - 19.00.
21. December 2010: More space for well-being on long-haul flights
Starting at 20th of December 2010 Austrian long haul flight customers can now purchase a seat next to the emergency exit and benefit from having more leg room- for only € 70.- per seat, per flight.
For this purpose our customers can use the Austrian Web Check-in from 24 hours before departure, payment carried out via creditcard. This service is available immediately to all Austrian customers who fulfil the necessary requirements for passengers travelling in these seats. (That is persons over 15, without any disability, without travelling with an infant up to 2 years and who are not travelling with animals in the cabin).

22. October 2010: Austrian Airlines team up with Wataniya airways: Codeshare flights to Beirut and Kuwait as of 31 October 2010
Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s only premium airline, and Austrian Airlines announced they have signed code share and interline agreements. The agreements will allow Austrian Airlines guests to travel vie Vienna to Kuwait and Beirut onboard Wataniya Airways under single Austrian Airlines ticket.

21. October 2010: correction of Ticket Service Charge in Russia
In an effort to maintain simple and transparent pricing system, Austrian Airlines will correct Ticket Service Charge levels for issuance of tickets with point of origin in Russia. New flat Ticket Service Charge level for all tickets booked and purchased via www.austrian.com will be 10 EURO as of 01. November 2010.

07. September 2010: Austrian Airlines opened for sale direct flights Moscow-Innsbruck
Austrian Airlines started ticket sales for traditional seasonal flight Moscow-Innsbruck. During period 26. December 2010 till 08. January 2001 flights (OS671/672, OS673/674) will be performed on Sundays, during period 15. January till 26. March 2011 - on Saturdays.
13. August 2010: Austrian Business Class wines awarded
The Global Traveler Magazin named Austrian Airlines as the overall winner in their annual survey "Wine on the Wings International Airline Wine Competition". Austrian Airlines performed best in the category "Top 10 Overall". This year the worldwide competition of the magazine for business and luxury travellers took place for the 6th time. 26 airlines, among of them Qatar Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa and other world-class carriers, participated, experts judges tasted their business class wine range from top winemakers worldwide.
28. July 2010: new destination - Malta
Thanks to the newly signed code-share agreement with Air Malta (KM), Austrian Airlines is now able to provide perfect connections from Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Sochi, Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don to Malta up to six times per week.
15. July 2010: Austrian Airlines is planning flights to Baghdad and Mumbai from 31 October 2010
Austrian Airlines is planning to reincorporate scheduled flights from Vienna to Baghdad from 31 October 2010 with four weekly connections. Austrian flights will be performed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays - this provides perfect connection between capital of Iraq and russian cities Moscow and Krasnodar. Early bookers will enjoy attractive prices, starting from 25 400 Rubles including all taxes.

01. July 2010: Austrian flies directly to Dnepropetrovsk again
Starting on 1 July, Austrian Airlines will fly to Dnepropetrovsk once again. This is a result of discussions between the EU authorities, the Ukrainian and Austrian authorities and Austrian Airlines. Previously Austrian Airlines had to modify its flight programme: Since 1 May 2010, Austrian Airlines has flown to Zaporozhye instead of Dnepropetrovsk. The reason for this was that the Dnepropetrovsk airport had reported that due to remodelling work on the runway, there could be problems with the slot and therefore Austrian Airlines could not fly. However, after it became clear that other airlines could fly to Dnepropetrovsk again, Austrian Airlines reported this unfair treatment to the EU commission and the Austrian authorities.

18. June 2010: Austrian introduces new in-flight entertainment programme for July-August 2010
In July-August 2010 passengers both in economy and business class onboard Austrian Boeings 767/777 continue to enjoy variety of movies and TV- and radio channels. Austrian will offer selection of this year produced movies like "The Bounty Hunter", "Leap Year", "How to train your Dragon" and many others; on Comedy channel we continue to show TV-series "Office", "30 Rock" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm".

25. May 2010: Get ready for Austrian red|lounge
From 1 June 2010 onwards, passengers travelling with Austrian Airlines will have the option to pay for Business Lounge access before their departure in Vienna – on an Economy Class ticket.

15. May 2010: Autrian makes room for even greater well being on board
From the 1st of June 2010, Austrian Airline’s Business Class guests will have an empty seat next to them, even on all short- and medium-distance flights with Austrian Airlines (except all flights within Austria as well as Premium Service flights).
Austrian has already been offering this service. Until now, the middle place was kept free in a triple seat row. Now we are extending this comfort. That is, on all short and medium distance flights, the neighbouring seat will remain empty.
More room to relax, read or to work in the neighbouring space, even on the shortest flights, for example to Budapest or to Prague, but also on longer European routes to Stockholm or Bucharest.
Thus Austrian offers not only an enrichment in space but also an upgrade in the guests privacy.
19. April 2010: correction of Ticket Service Charge in Russia
In an effort to maintain and improve the high-value quality of its ticketing services, Austrian Airlines will correct Ticket Service Charge levels for issuance of tickets with point of origin in Russia. New Ticket Service Charge levels will be bounded to bookings class, routing and method of purchase (via Internet or in airlines office). In order to reinforce competitiveness of it's product, Austrian Airlines will set Ticket Service Charge for cheapest fare tickets purchased via www.austrian.com to zero.

02. April 2010: red|upgrade continues
Austrian Airlines continues to offer possibility of online upgrade to Business Class for all passengers, using web Check-in service. red|Upgrade is possible no earlier than 23 hours and no later than 5 hours prior to departure. Passengers who ordered red|Upgrade, can enjoy all benefits available at Austrian Business Class: increased baggage allowance (in case upgrade is paid with Miles&More miles), access to Business lounges, full onboard Business Class service. The cost of red|Upgrade service starts from just EUR199 / 10000 miles (e.g. for flight Moscow-Vienna, St. Petersburg-Vienna, Rostov-Vienna or Krasnodar-Vienna).
