Brussels Airlines

Brussels Airlines is backed up by more than 80 years of aviation experience in Belgium and is owned by SN Airholding. This Belgian airline is the result of the alliance between SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express. Brussels Airlines offers a wide choice of flights to and from its base in Brussels Airport near the European Capital.

The group has around 3000 employees and 51 aircraft that operate some 300 punctual flights daily, connecting the Capital of Europe to premium European airports and Africa. The African destinations are served by 5 330-300 Airbuses, while short & medium haul aircraft (such as Airbus A 319, AVRO RJ85 and Boeing 737-300) mainly fly within Europe. Brussels Airlines is defined by its strong position on the African market and operates no less than 18 destinations to this wonderful continent.

On 15 September 2008, Lufthansa Group announced an equity investment in the Belgian airline. Since June 2009, the Lufthansa Group owns 45 pct of the shares of SN Airholding. On 9 December 2009, Brussels Airlines joined the commercial alliance Star Alliance. Thanks to this alliance, Brussels Airlines is able to offer its passengers a worldwide network.
