What costs apply when changing a booking?

To change your booking details you pay a rebooking fee and a handling charge, depending on the type of ticket.
If you rebook in a higher booking class you will also have to pay the difference between the original fare and the new one. As a general rule, you may rebook your ticket in the same booking class or a higher one – provided there are still seats available.

Can I change the name on the ticket online?

No, name changes are not permitted.

Can I cancel my ticket online?

Can I change my flight destination online?

No, you cannot rebook to a different flight destination online. Our Internet Helpdesk team will be pleased to help you:

What are the conditions to change my booking online?

You can rebook online if:

You booked your ticket online at www.austrian.com  
  Your fare conditions allow rebooking.
  The new flight has an Austrian Airlines flight number.

What booking details can I change?

  The flight time
  The date
  The booking class of your ticket.

What are the deadlines for rebooking?

  Fully flexible ticket: up to 3 hours before departure.
  All other tickets: up to 24 hours before departure.

How do I change the time/date of my flight?

Here you can change the time/date of your booking.
Please select one option per flight. On the following page you can select time, date or booking class. The prices show the difference between the original fare and the new one. At the bottom of the page you will see the total rebooking costs (i.e. fare differential where applicable, rebooking fee, handling charge).
