Which browser is required for a problem-free booking online?

The Austrian Airlines booking page functions with all current browsers. However, we recommend using Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher or Mozilla 3.0.

Would you like to name a contact person with your booking?

Please enter the name and telephone number or e-mail address of the person you wish to be notified in case of an accident.
According to EU regulation (No 996/2010 ) this data will only be stored for the purpose of given booking and will be deleted upon your return from the journey. Please note: These data are not linked to your booking – please give the data again if you decide to rebook your flight.

How to book an "open" return flight?

You can book an "open" return flight by booking an unrestrited Business Class fare, select any return date and change this date free of charge upon your wishes.

How can I book multi-segment flights or 'open jaw' flights online?

You can book a multi-segment journey on our startpage. Please click "More search options | open jaw" on startpage or "Book" tab and select "More flights / Multi-segment journey".

When will the payment be debited from my credit card account?

The payment will be debited when issuing the ticket.

What is the latest date a ticket can be booked online prior to departure?

Depending on country of origin, you can book online between 72 hours until 3 hours before departure as long as the rules of chosen fare allow this.

How can I buy vouchers?

Austrian Airlines flight vouchers are only available for purchase online. Payment is made by credit card.
A maximum of 10 vouchers can be purchased.
Visit www.austrianvoucher.com/en  to purchase a voucher.

How can I redeem a voucher?

Enter the 10-digit voucher code on the first page of the booking process (flight search) in the last field entitled "Voucher". The value will be automatically deducted from the total price. Only one voucher can be redeemed per booking.

What happens if the price of flight is less than the value of the voucher?

If the value of the voucher is more than the price of the booking, it is possible to credit the remainder towards a future booking.
The difference of the voucher ist not paid out cash. Unused vouchers cannot be redeemed in cash. Resale is not permitted. (only valid for vouchers beginning with REM)

Are vouchers valid for all flights?

Vouchers are only valid for flights with an Austrian flight number. These are flights operated by the Austrian Airlines Group and Austrian Airlines codeshare flights operated by a partner airline. The vouchers are not valid for holiday charter flights offered by Austrian myHoliday, open-jaw flights as well as for flights of Star Alliance partners without an Austrian Airlines flight number.

Will I get the value of the voucher back if I cancel the flight?

If the booking is cancelled, the voucher will be deemed as used and will not be reimbursed. The value of the voucher will not be reimbursed in the case of refunds.

In what currencies are the vouchers available?

You can buy vouchers in the currencies EUR, USD, CHF, GBP, DKK, SEK, NOK and RUB in the given denominations.
