Austrian: 50 years in Denmark

On 5 November 2013 Austrian has celebrated one of the most important anniversaries: 50 years of constant flights from Vienna to Stockholm and Copenhagen!

Austrian's flights departure gates could be spotted from afar that day! Decorated with red and white balloon arch and anniversary banners, they immediately attracted curious travelers. Relaxing lounge music played by our Dj, sparkling champaign and delicious muffins immediately created a cosy and welcoming atmosphere at the gates.

Just before the boarding, Austrian’s Director Sales International Stephan Linhard and Bastian Franz, our Regional Manager for Scandinavia, Finland & Baltic States, announced the winners of three DO&CO vouchers for a three-course meal to be served on board. But the fountain of surprises kept on and on.

Upon the boarding all the passengers got a DO&CO discount voucher and one of the most famous Austrian specialties: Mozart Kugeln chocolate. Out of the big airport window, the passengers could see the aircraft that definitely stood out! That was our vintage Airbus A320 that flew especially for such a great occasion.

We would like to thank you, our dear passengers, for choosing Austrian Airlines and for your contribution in helping us to constantly improve our services and to confidently move ahead, for helping us to achieve excellence in operations, for inspiration and loyalty!

You made this great anniversary possible. Thank you for that!
