  • How can I buy vouchers?

  • Austrian Airlines flight vouchers are only available for purchase online. Payment is made by credit card.
    A maximum of 10 vouchers can be purchased. Visit www.austrianvoucher.com/en to purchase a voucher.

  • How can I redeem a voucher?

  • Enter the 10-digit voucher code on the first page of the booking process (flight search) in the last field entitled "Voucher". The value will be automatically deducted from the total price. Only one voucher can be redeemed per booking.

    Campaign voucher:
    This voucher is publicised as part of a campaign of Austrian.
    A maximum of 9 passengers per booking can be booked at the same time. The discount is valid for every passenger (except babies) in the booking.

    Personal voucher:
    This voucher is received by you alone. It features a ten-figure alphanumerical code. Only one adult (with one baby maximum) can be booked per booking. If you would like to book more than one person at the same time, please enter separate bookings.

    Please observe the following conditions for the redemption of the voucher:

    Vouchers can only be redeemed at www.austrian.com.
    It is not possible to combine more than one voucher at a time.
    Should the value of the voucher exceed the price of the booking, the remaining amount will not be credited to a subsequent booking or paid out, and expires as a result. Vouchers purchased at www.austrianvoucher.com are excepted from this rule.
    Vouchers are not valid for flights of Star Alliance partners without an Austrian Airlines flight number.
    It is not possible to book open-jaw flights (when the departure and/or arrival airport differ for the outbound and return flights), examples of which include Vienna-Frankfurt/Munich-Vienna or Vienna-Frankfurt/Frankfurt-Graz.
    If the booking is cancelled, then the voucher counts as having been used, and is not reimbursed.
    The value of the voucher is not reimbursed in the event of refunds.
    There is no discounting of airport charges unless the voucher is explicitly issued as such.
    Vouchers can be subject to certain restrictions such as the booking period, travel period, destinations, etc.. The restrictions can be found in the booking process.
    If there is any suspicion of misuse, Austrian Airlines reserves the right to block the voucher at a later date.
    MCOs (Miscellaneous Charge Order), CAIR Vouchers and Air-Bons cannot be redeemed via this field.

  • What happens if the price of flight is less than the value of the voucher?

  • If the value of the voucher is more than the price of the booking, it is  possible to credit the remainder towards a future booking.
    The difference of the voucher ist not paid out cash. Unused vouchers cannot be redeemed in cash. Resale is not permitted.

  • Will I get the value of the voucher back if I cancel the flight?

  • If the booking is cancelled, the voucher will be deemed as used and will not be reimbursed. The value of the voucher will not be reimbursed in the case of refunds.

  • Are vouchers valid for all flights?

  • Vouchers are only valid for flights with an Austrian flight number. These are flights operated by the Austrian Airlines Group and Austrian Airlines codeshare flights operated by a partner airline. The vouchers are not valid for Charter flights, open-jaw flights as well as for flights of Star Alliance partners without an Austrian Airlines flight number.

  • What should I be aware of when making a booking with a voucher?

  • A reservation can only be made for one adult per booking. If you would like to make reservations for several people at the same time, please make separate bookings.

  • In what currencies are the vouchers available?

  • You can buy vouchers in the currencies EUR, USD, CHF, GBP, DKK, SEK, NOK and RUB in the given denominations.
