Missing or damaged baggage
If one or more items of baggage cannot be found on arrival or are damaged, please contact the Austrian Airlines Arrival Services/Lost&Found or the local representative at your Arrival Airport immediately. You will then receive written confirmation with a reference number. It is important that you keep this document.
As soon as your baggage has arrived, we will contact you to arrange a delivery time.
Here you can find out information on the progress we have made with locating your missing baggage. We will do everything in our power to ensure that you receive your baggage again as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Bagagge that is delayed for more than 5 days
In the unlikely event that your baggage is not found within 5 days, please fill out the Baggage Questionnaire (pdf) and send it to us. Please provide more detailed information about your baggage – then we can extend the automated, worldwide search.
What do I do if my luggage was damaged?
In order to file a damage report we kindly ask you to bring the damaged item to the local Lost & Found office within 7 days.
- the original baggage tag
- your boarding card or the passenger receipt
